To celebrate mothers near and far, I send you all a virtual bouquet from flowers I admired today at Butchart Gardens. It was quite fortuitous that the weather was spectacular, and I had great cycling buddies in Nicky and Bill to make the 70 km round trip (aided by a beautiful ferry ride back and forth between Mill Bay to Brentwood Bay). What a great day.

Our children will show their appreciation in various ways, but I think all mothers should take time to celebrate themselves as well. Take time to pat yourself on the back to recognize the love and support I know you all provide to your children. And while the times are not always the easiest, the return we get from motherhood cannot be quantified, or even really described. The steadfast love we have for our children are etched in our hearts forever.
