I should have waited until full darkness before writing the previous post. It was a very clear night tonight so there were stars upon stars to see. I finally downloaded one of the star finder apps and had some fun. What a treat to be able to see stars from the comfort of our home. Usually we have to be camping in the wild, away from city glow, to see any stars.

Here are just a couple examples of constellations visible from my easy chair on the deck. Very appropriate given our book club discussion earlier this evening about “Luminaries” by Eleanor Catton. Thanks ladies for a great discussion. This was a perfect way to cap off the evening!
